Work 'n' Shoes

Well last night was the last night of work for Stephanie and Travis :( Sadness!!! They are so fun to work with! But we had a party to send them off into life and it was tons of fun! We also all pitched in to get them each a present. Now I wouldn't have thought of it, but another friend Katie, thought I should paint lil shoes for Stephanie's new little one! FUN! So I did:D They turned out so cute ( thank goodness!) And there was some talk of others wanting to see my other shoes so I decided I'd make it easy and post a link to my little corner of an online art community I belong to, here on my blog!!! I am alive!!!

I've been such a blog slacker, but I want to reassure everyone that I am still alive! It's just been kinda busy crazy around here so I haven't has a moment to get on and post something new! What have we been up to you might wonder? Well we've been enjoying this wonderful weather for one! We've been fishing 3 times since it has warmed up and Daae even got her own fishing pole for Easter! She loves it and has so much fun just casting and reeling back in! Easter itself was awesome too! All the kids got mounds of candy and stuff from everyone and we had a wonderful meal at Grandma's house with the whole family. Daaelynn also went bowling for the first tiem ever and had quite an enjoyable time of it. She was sad to leave, but then again she is always sad whenever we leave anywhere! So here are some pics of all the fun we've been having! I'll try to be a better little blogger! Cross my heart! ;D

My Big Girl!

As some of you know our little girl has not slept in her own bed in almost a year and 1/2. She has never been consistent about where she sleeps, btu we have made a break through!!! Mom decided it was time to get her her own big girl bed. I was just sick of waking up hugging the side of my big king size waterbed because someone had bullied me over in the night- this does not do wonders for the back people!!! So I started searching on KSL and craigslits for a decently priced bed to get my Daae. Welllll... I'm cheap! So I wan't all up for spending more then $75 on the whole thing and even that was kinda up there for me. So when I saw a cute little twin bed listed for $75 in Santaquin ( just south of Payson) I was really considering calling and getting it, but the price tag was killing me!!! So I put it off and put it off, and then got on KSL to look it up again when- BEHOLD! They had relisted it for the beautiful price of $50 OBO! WOOHOO! SO I gave them I call and one drive and $44 later Daae had a big girl bed! But the real question!!!! Would she sleep in it??? She was really excited about it, but I was waiting for bed time you see because that changes everything! So off I went to work wondering what would happen. So I got home and crept down the stairs.....to find...... a Daae Daae in her bed!!! WOOHOO!!!! And she slept alllll night through! It was wonderful!!!! She loved it and it all worked out great! I hope our luck keeps running!

My Alternative Side :D

OK I know I really come across as being all over country and not diverting from that genre of music for the most part, but sometimes I just can't help myself :D If you have listened to my music on here you'll have hear mostly country, but a few other things mixed in, recently Paul Simon, Journey,and Stix, but this is music I grew up listening too so it is no suprise it has stuck. What is a suprise is when my lil sister gets a hold of me and I end up loving one of her generation's songs. The one I speak of right now would be a song called Gives You Hell, but the All American Rejects. She sowed me the music video over Christmas, and then I heard it on the radio this week and can't seem to get it out of my head! I love it!!!! So TADA I do have diversity and a lil "culture" ;) Now here is the video so you all can see what madness has captured me!!! Oh and PS- the lead singer is hot!!!!! Exercise exercise all we need is EXERCISE!!!

OK........I'm fat! Waaahhhhhhhh! And I have tried this that and the other thing over and over only half heartedly since I had Daaelynn almost 4 years ago. I did manage to loose 8-10lbs in the first 6 months of moving up here to Utah from Vegas. I'm not 100% how that happened, but I am pretty sure it is because we didn't have my parents feeding us wonderful food like we did in Vegas because here in Utah we are poor and don't get to eat out often. So after sitting and whining for 4 years I'm really going to do it this time. I know- talk is CHEAP! But I figured I'd start doing something here on my blog inspired be another blog friend ( thanks Emily!). She has decided to track what she has been doing and update everyone on her progress. Well I am the type where if I have someone to answer to- unless it is my husband :)- I generally get it done! So I decided all of you wonderful blog friends are who I get to answer too!!! So to update you :D this is my first day of getting the exercising part done! I have had this weight watchers exercise video for a while and I do like it, but it is soooo boring to listen to! The exercises are great, but the blah blah blah talking and generic music KILLS ME! SO genius struck me as I was thinking about pulling out the DVD........what if I listened to MY music and turned down the boring music!!! YEAH! And it so worked! I just did a 30 min video and I was sad it was ending cuz I was having fun!!!! !!!!
So my friends I will keep you updated and I will not let you down!!!! Thanks for the support I know you'll give me!!!

I'm all shook up...uh hu hu

On Tuesday night I got to see an awesome play at the Hale's theater in Orem. I'd never been there before and was some sort of excited when we walked in and saw how their theather was set up! So fun!!!! We were on one of the front rows- which was a little dangerous because my feet were almost plowed down by a bike, and my mother-in-laws were almost mowed over by a motorcycle! But aside form the near amputation it was one of the most AWESOME plays I've ever seen so I am on here to convince you all that you neeeeddd to go see it!! So it is called All Shook Up and here is it's little synopsis from the website- All Shook Up tells the story of a square little town in the middle of a square state in the middle of a square decade where a lonely young girl dreams of hitting the open road. Into her life rides a guitar-playin' roustabout who changes everything. Combining all-time favorite Elvis hits with a healthy dose of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, All Shook Up is surefire fun for rock 'n' roll fans of all ages!

It was fun, hilarious, romantic, and had awesome songs......the fact that the main male character was oh so hot and shook his hips like an Elvis pro was a huge plus as well!!! ;) SO everyone it is playing till April 4th so if you're looking for some awesome fun GO SEE IT!!!!!!

Fun Fun Weekend!

I had a pretty rockin' weekend with some fun suprises throughout I thought I'd share with ya'll!
It started Friday when my sneaky husband took Daae and I to the mall. I honestly didn't feel like going to the mall ( if I don't have $ to spend it's like tourture), but it was a way to get outta the house so I was taking it!!! Now for those who don't know- my hubby is very sneaky, and likes to hoard moneys- very important to this story! So we're trucking around the mall, and I started driftin' towards the payless shoes. I might not seem to girly, but shoes and clothes are still wired into my hardrive :D So we start looking at shoes, and Riley finds a pair he wants, but I'm thinking " Uhhhhh not with bill money" lol So after inquiring a little more I found out that my sneak came here with a purpose...and a couple hundred dollars to have some fun with! :O Suprise for meeeee! So we bought shoes for the fam, jeans for him and I, and a few movies for the fam! It was so fun! And now I won't embarass Riley with my holey kneed jeans :D
So as if that wasn't fun enough, on Sat. me, Marci, and Jennilyn went to see Twilight in the dollar theater- TEEHEE, and yah Robert Pattinson is still hot!!! WooWoo! But what made Sat. real special was I did something I've never done before, and actually it was something I see as quite scary! For the first time EVER....I...rode.....on a motorcycle!!! HOLY COW you say! NO WAY you say! But YES!!!!! I rode on a motorcycle......and I liked it :D It's my bro-in-laws bike, and my husband wants one in a bad way, but I'm just not a huge fan! Death and motorcycle are two words I always seem to relate to eachother, and now I still think they are a bit dangerous, but I'm almost looking forward to Riley getting one someday- it's like we live in an alternate universe all the sudden!!! :D
