Cards Cards Cards :D

Alrighty! Im all sorts of excited about something and had to share! I FINALLY got into the card group that 2 of my sis-in-laws are in! Now this may not seem all that woohoo, but for me it was! I've been hoping they'd have an opening in the card group for like 4-5 months maybe more, and finally I am in! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And this weekend I finishe my first set of cards :D First htough- for those who don't know- this is how the card group works.... there are 13 people in our group and everyone in the group makes 13 of the same card every other month. Then we get our cards to one person, they seperate all the cards into 13 different piles- one card from each person- and then in the end each person has 13 different cards for all occasions! FUN huh??!?!?! :D So here for the veiwing public is my very FIRST card for this said group! I'm all excited about it and think it is adorable! Hopefully it can live up the the prestige of the other cards int the group!

My flash washed it out a little, so the colors are brighter in reality and the polkadot paper sticks up off the green paper AND there is glitter on the cake :D The inside says Seize the cake by the way.

Holy Cow I Did It!!!!!!!

Well I have ventured into a whole new land and I haven't killed anyone yet! Ok now that I've got your attention I will explain :D Around Christmas my sis-in-law, Jennilyn, gave her sisters and I a cook book and some wonderful and easy bread making materials. Now I am not the best little suzie homemaker! In fact, I distinctly remember my husband suggesting to me at one point after our 1st year of marriage that I find more recipes to add to my repituar because the 5 things I did know how to cook were getting old I guess :D I have improved in the 4 years since then, but I'm still striving to get better! And I have NEVER made bread before or even thought i could pull it off, but thanks to Jennilyn's awesome recipe........ shocker shocker........I MADE BREAD FROM SCRATCH!!!!!

And then just to push my luck further, we made pizza last night from the same dough recipe as the bread! Riley had a friend over at the time too so I had an unbias party tell me it was good as well as my lovely family! A two for two success!!! The best part of the pizza was that Daae got to make her own, and that was a fun little photo op. So there you have it folks! I'm becoming more Molly Mormon by the moment and it is goooooooodddddddd :D

There must be something in the water down here in Payson, but my husband came to me the other day and had a request that had me dazzed. He said " Will you teach me how to blog?".............:O........... What?! The world must be ending people! A few months back I did create a blog for the flutes that Riley and I have been working on, but I always expected it to be something I would have to keep up because Riley does not blog. But behold!! Being a Mom and Being Grateful

As some of you might know, we're been having some 'pooping problems' with Daaelynn for quite a while now. Well we finally got her into a Dr who gave us a perscription for Miralax (a stool softner). Sounds way fun huh? Weellll we got her on it and have since had to throw away 3 pairs of panties and I just got to do the fun mommy job of scrubbing poop up off our floor. She is so use to holding it in and with this stuff you really can't. And honestly I've not had a wonderful attitude about the whole situation. Riley is about 100% more compassionate than I am-0h sad to say. When I discovered the accident and Daae sitting in it I called for Riley and he said "Oh poor Daae Daae" And then I felt so bad that my first thought was "Oh great!" So as I was cleaning up the mess and Riley was putting Daae in the tub, I was thinking about how I was going to come write my blog about the trials of motherhood like scrubbing poo out of carpet, and then Riley's words and a book I recently read popped into my head- and i felt bad again for considering this a trial. The book was about a couple who had a little boy with lukemia. In the book the father is a Dr. and they portray to the reader just what treatment for lukemia, which included a bone marrow transplant and heavy chemotherapy,is reallllyyy like for a child. This was a fictional book, but holy cow! This happens to families every day and here I am whining about my health childs small issue at the moment.It is interesting how Heavenly Father throws thoughts into your mind to help you keep perspective and dish you out some humility. I am so grateful for my mommy status and all the ick that comes with it , and although doing the ick with a smile might be hard, I will remember to do it without the chip on my shoulder and some compassion for my little one and for those moms who wish pooping problems were there only problems.

Another Year here we go!!!

Well we survived through Christmas! YEAH! And we are not totally broke! Double yeah!!!! I don't have a whole lot to write about, but I though I'd let ya'll know we are alive :D We have had some interesting trials of late though including- Riley getting into an accident before, me getting pulled over ( only a fix-it ticket yeah!), my getting stuck in the snow and having to walt 1/4 a mile home at midnight, my getting stuck again the next day and 3 nice guys pushing us out :), our furnace breaking (yeah for renting!!! hehehe), and on and on! But hey that's life and we delt with the trials alright so it's all good! OH aaannndd I am now a primary leader for the first time ever :D I have one of the sunbeam classes! Today was my first time teaching and it went relatively well. There was only one kid misbehaving more than necessary today....sucks that that child was miinnnneee!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR We'll try again next week. And how they expect 3yr olds to sit for that long- holy cow. It went well for the first time, but I hope it gets better as well LoL. Well that is the story over here :) OH and to whomever knew about the shoes I made for my bro and sis for Christmas hehehe THEY LOVED THEM!!! I'll post pics so you guys can see what they looked like!

Merry Christmas all my friends and family! I figured since we are leaving to go outta town tomorrow I'd better get on here and wish you all a wonderful holiday week!!! Our Chritmas season has been an eventful one, and sometimes cruddy ( Riley sliding the van into the corner of a guys truck bed :s), BUT we have soooo much to be thankful and grateful for! There has been so much fun going on as well including a meeting with Santa at the family Christmas party! YEAH! Daaelynn LOVED it and was 1st in line to see him :) Hopefully she'll have been good enough to get that blue tea set she's shooting for ;) He'll have to deliver it to Vegas since that's where we will be for Christmas day. It'll be so fun to spend time with my family for Christmas. We hope you all have an awesome Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!! Remember the true reason for the season and all Christ has given to us! We love you!!!!!!
